The advantages of working on a ship are Swiss contracts and the possibility of earning a good salary. More importantly, ship work is great for professional development and building a career. If this is the case, as it is for me, then working on a ship is the right thing for you!
What challenges did you face on a daily basis?
Every day is a new adventure. The dynamics of work are such that no one can predict the course of events. From time to time, a change in the itinerary occurs due to water levels or the inability to dock at a certain port.
What advice would you give to the people who go on a ship for the first time?
Go ahead, keep your head up, and be ready for compromises and a serious change in your life. Any hard work and effort will be recognized by the management of any company. If you prove yourself to be a good worker, you will be promoted very quickly!
