When it comes to the hiring process abroad, each company may have its own specific requirements and procedures regarding documentation. However, there are general steps that are common to all companies.
After you pass the interview, the first step is to submit a scanned copy of your passport and a completed form with your personal information. Each company has its own form, which you will receive by email after a successful interview. This step is crucial because only if you submit the requested documentation quickly and accurately can you proceed to the next level, which is the visa application procedure.
For the visa, you need to have a valid passport, an employment contract with the company that hired you, a guarantee letter from the company, the ship’s sailing route, a completed application for the National D visa of the Federal Republic of Germany, copies of all stamped pages in your passport, as well as any previous German work visas, if applicable. Additionally, you will need to provide passport-sized photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm).
Once your visa is issued, preparations for boarding begin, which also include gathering additional documentation. At this stage, you will need to submit a signed contract, medical test results completed by the selected doctor, your bank account information, and, in some cases, a certificate of no criminal record.
Regarding medical tests, companies usually have their own medical examination form that you take to your chosen general practitioner. Furthermore, if you are married or divorced, most companies will require a copy of your marriage certificate.
Recruiters from the Feron agency will be there to guide you through each step of the process, helping you ensure that all documents are filled out correctly and submitted on time so that the hiring process goes as smoothly and quickly as possible.
